Cookie Policy
Last updated: 19 May 2026
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser when you visit. They are needed for the site to function, remember your choices, and help understand visitor behavior.
By «cookies» in this document we also mean similar technologies: localStorage, sessionStorage, pixels, web beacons.
2. Cookie categories
There are four main categories:
- Strictly necessary — without them the site doesn't work (e.g. technical session cookies). No consent required.
- Functional — remember your choices (e.g. interface language). Improve usability.
- Analytics — help understand how visitors use the site (how many views, where traffic comes from). Anonymous, not linked to identity.
- Marketing / advertising — track behavior across sites to show personalized ads. Require explicit consent.
3. What we use NOW
At this moment the site does not use cookies in the traditional sense. We use a minimal set of technologies:
- localStorage (stored in your browser, not transmitted to the server):
atman_privacy_ack— flag that you've already seen the privacy notice (so we don't show it again).atman_lead_queue— backup in case of form submission failure (erased after successful submission).
- Plausible Analytics — anonymous web analytics without cookies. Does not track you across sites. More at plausible.io.
- Technical server logs (IP, time, page) — on the hosting side (Vercel), kept for 30 days for security.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, fingerprinting.
4. What we plan to use in the future
When we start paid promotion (Meta Ads, Google Ads, etc.), we will need additional technologies for attribution and ad optimization:
- Meta Pixel (if we launch Meta Ads) — marketing category. Sends Meta data about your actions on the site for campaign optimization.
- Google Ads Conversion Pixel (if we launch Google Ads) — same, for Google.
- Server-side tracking (CAPI and similar) — a more private option, sends anonymized data from the server.
Before enabling marketing cookies, we will show an explicit consent banner with the option to accept, decline, or configure categories. Without your consent, marketing cookies will not be installed.
The marketing cookie launch date will be reflected in an update to this page.
5. Third-party services and their cookies
When you follow links from our site to third-party resources (e.g. Stanislav Donets's LinkedIn profile, provider policies), those sites may set their own cookies per their policies.
We don't control third-party cookies. Review their policies:
6. How to manage cookies
You can manage cookies in your browser settings. Usually in «Settings» → «Privacy» → «Cookies».
To clear our site's localStorage — in DevTools (F12) → Application → Local Storage → atmanapp.eu → delete keys atman_*.
If you disable all cookies — most sites will work partially or with errors. Our site will continue to work (we don't depend on cookies for basic functionality), but you'll see the privacy notice again.
7. Withdrawing consent
When we introduce marketing cookies, you'll be able to withdraw consent at any time:
- Through cookie settings on the site (will appear together with the consent banner).
- Through your browser settings.
- By writing to stanislav@atmanapp.eu.
Withdrawing consent doesn't affect the legality of processing that took place before withdrawal.
8. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when the set of cookies in use changes — especially before launching marketing ads. The last update date is shown at the top of this document.
